Terms of Service
These Terms explain how this website may be used and how service enquiries, quotes, appointments and approved work are handled.

Website use
You may use this website for lawful purposes, to learn about our services and to contact Alternative Line Solutions. You must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, submit misleading information or use website content in a way that infringes another person's rights.
General website information
Website content is general information only. It does not replace an on-site inspection or advice based on the actual condition of the property, equipment or components. Images and service descriptions are illustrative and may not show the exact system at your property.
Service enquiries
Website forms are enquiries only. Submitting a form does not authorise work, guarantee an appointment or confirm pricing. We will contact you separately to discuss the request, service location, availability and next steps. A service agreement is only formed when the relevant scope, price and other applicable terms are confirmed and accepted.
Quotes and estimates
Any initial price indication based on a phone call, message, photograph or website enquiry is an estimate unless clearly stated otherwise. Final scope and pricing are confirmed separately after sufficient information or an inspection is available. A quote may have an acceptance period or conditions that will be stated when it is provided.
Appointments and availability
Appointment requests are subject to confirmation. Requested, same-day or emergency attendance is not guaranteed. Timing may be affected by location, technician availability, traffic, earlier jobs, site conditions and parts availability. We will communicate material changes where reasonably practicable.
Inspections and site conditions
Conditions found on site may affect the available repair options, timing, parts and price. Some faults cannot be fully identified until components are accessed, operated or carefully dismantled. We will explain relevant findings and discuss the practical options before additional work proceeds.
Scope of work and customer approval
The agreed scope describes the work we are authorised to perform. Work outside that scope is not included unless discussed and approved. Where new issues or necessary changes are identified, additional work and any price or timing change should be discussed before proceeding. Approval may be recorded in writing, electronically or through another clear communication method.
Pricing and deposits
Pricing, call-out charges and any applicable taxes will be explained in the quote, estimate or other service confirmation. If a deposit is required, the amount, purpose and payment timing will be communicated separately. Submitting a website enquiry does not create a deposit or payment obligation.
Parts and materials
Parts are subject to availability, compatibility and supplier lead times. We may recommend an appropriate alternative when an exact part is unavailable or unsuitable. Any material change to the agreed part, price or scope will be discussed before proceeding.
Customer responsibilities and safe access
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate information about the issue and property
- having authority to request and approve work at the property
- providing safe, reasonable and timely access to the work area
- disclosing known hazards, access restrictions or relevant damage
- keeping children, pets and other people safely away from the work area
- following reasonable operating and aftercare instructions.
Work may be paused or rescheduled if safe access is unavailable or an undisclosed hazard prevents the service from being completed safely.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Please tell us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Any cancellation, attendance or supplier charge will only apply where it has been disclosed and agreed, or is otherwise lawfully recoverable. We may need to reschedule because of safety, weather, access, technician availability, traffic, earlier jobs or parts delays.
Payment
Payment methods and due dates will be stated in the relevant quote, invoice or service confirmation. You must pay valid charges by the agreed due date. If you believe an invoice is incorrect, contact us promptly so the issue can be reviewed.
Warranties and Australian Consumer Law
Any express workmanship or product warranty that applies to a particular service will be provided separately. We do not create a warranty merely by describing a service on this website.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, website text, branding, graphics and original content are owned by or licensed to Alternative Line Solutions. You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal use, but must not reproduce or commercially use substantial website content without permission.
Third-party links and services
Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience. We do not control their content, availability, security or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service may be subject to that provider's terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applying in Victoria, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws. Subject to any rights that cannot be restricted, disputes may be brought before courts or tribunals with jurisdiction in Victoria.
